Peter Nesvold, Esq., CFA, CPA, is a seasoned finance executive with over 20 years of experience on Wall Street.
He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Nesvold Capital Partners (NCP), a prestigious merchant bank focusing on the asset and wealth management sectors.
Peter began his career as a sell-side equity research analyst at Bear Stearns and quickly rose to the position of Senior Managing Director. He has covered over 50 companies and has been recognized as one of the "Best Analysts" in StarMine's polls for three different industries.
His expertise extends to portfolio management and analysis at Lazard Asset Management, where he played a pivotal role in growing the firm's AUM ten-fold and achieving a "five-star" rating from Morningstar.
In 2013, Peter transitioned to Silver Lane Advisors, assuming the role of Managing Director and COO, overseeing the firm's exceptional growth and operational strategies. The company's revenues increased six-fold during his tenure, solidifying its position as a top-ranking investment banking boutique in the asset and wealth management sectors.
Following the acquisition of Silver Lane by Raymond James in 2019, Peter became the COO of Financial Services Investment Banking, where he managed a large team of investment bankers across different sectors within the financial industry.
Besides his professional endeavors, Peter is an Adjunct Professor at Fordham and a Fellow at the Gabelli Center for Global Security Analysis. He is also a prolific author, having published four books on M&A with McGraw-Hill.
Peter holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD with a focus on Tax and Finance from Fordham University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and was elected Editor-in-Chief of the law journal.
In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Peter has a background in competitive long-distance running, having completed 19 full-marathons.
