Peter Gault

Peter Gault is the Founder & former Executive Director of Quill.org, a nonprofit organization offering free online tools to help low-income students enhance their writing and critical thinking skills.

Quill utilizes machine learning and natural language processing to provide instant feedback to students, allowing for quick improvement in writing abilities.

The organization collaborates with academic researchers to develop its technology and curriculum, with a focus on serving the needs of 3rd-12th grade students from low-income backgrounds across the United States.

Their goal is to assist 10 million low-income students in becoming proficient writers and critical thinkers within the next five years, having already impacted over 7 million students from 30,000 schools nationwide.

Quill is supported by grants from notable foundations like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, AT&T Foundation, and Google.org, and has received recognition for innovation in education.

Peter Gault oversees product development, team coordination, and fundraising efforts at Quill and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, History, and Politics from Bates College.

He has also been involved in roles like Counselor at Camp Deerwood and a Rules Committee Internship at the U.S. Senate in Chris Dodd's Office.
