Peter Citera

Peter Citera is the Director of Mortgage Education at the Real Estate Institute, where he plays a pivotal role in training thousands of mortgage professionals each year. With nearly 25 years of focused experience in residential mortgage finance, Citera has been actively involved in teaching and developing licensing and continuing education courses since 2005.134

In addition to his educational role, Citera also serves as a Vice President at The Federal Savings Bank, where he originates mortgage loans primarily through referrals. His expertise encompasses regulatory compliance and various loan programs, making him a recognized authority in the field.23 Citera is based in the Greater Chicago Area and has a notable background in community banking, which complements his educational initiatives at the Real Estate Institute.56
