Peter Derman

Dr. Peter B. Derman, MD, MBA is a renowned spine surgeon at the Texas Back Institute, specializing in minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques for rapid pain relief and quick recovery. His focus is on ensuring patients spend less time on surgery and more time enjoying their regular activities.

Dr. Derman holds a diverse educational background, having studied Health Care Administration at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania for his MBA, Biology at Stanford University for his BS, and Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine for his MD. He also attended Hillcrest High School.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Derman served as a Spine Surgery Fellow at Rush University Medical Center, an Orthopedic Surgery Resident at Hospital for Special Surgery, a Summer Associate at McKinsey & Company, and a Summer Intern at the Life Sciences Investment Group at Ben Franklin Technology Partners.
