CEO/co-owner at Green Apple
Pete Mulvihill is the co-owner and CEO of Green Apple Books, a well-known independent bookstore located in San Francisco. He became involved with Green Apple Books in the early 1990s after moving to San Francisco from Bethesda, Maryland, where he initially sought a career in journalism. Mulvihill began working at the bookstore as a temporary employee and eventually transitioned into a permanent role, where he contributed significantly to the store's operations over the years.
In 1999, Mulvihill, along with two other employees, Kevin Hunsanger and Kevin Ryan, began a gradual buyout of the store from its original owner, Rich Savoy. This buyout process took about ten years and was designed to ensure the continuity and legacy of the bookstore.
