Jose Carmona

Jose "Pepe" Carmona is an experienced financial executive in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. He served as Chief Financial Officer at Rubius Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on creating cellular medicines for cancer and autoimmune diseases.12 At Rubius, Carmona was responsible for all financial aspects of the business, as well as business development, information technology, and procurement.2

Carmona has over 20 years of leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical sector.2 Prior to Rubius, he held CFO positions at Radius Health and Innocoll Holdings PLC.1 He also spent 12 years at Novartis AG in various financial management roles, including CFO positions in Europe, North America, and Latin America.1

In December 2022, Carmona joined ADC Therapeutics as Chief Financial Officer.3 He currently serves on the board of directors for HotSpot Therapeutics and Senda Biosciences.13

Carmona holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Civil Engineering from Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria in Valparaiso, Chile.1
