MEAM 101: Introduction to Mechanical Design Teach students how to effectively use CAD (SolidWorks), communicate designs in a deliberate and precise way, interpret and create engineering drawings, and create 5 - 6 projects using an iterative mechanical design process (observation, brainstorming, sketching, CAD, material selection, manufacturing, design review) Develop cohesive teaching plan centered around modern rapid prototyping methods, including 3D-printing, laser cutting, and CAD Lecture to 70 - 80 undergraduate and graduate students, leading weekly sections and design reviews with sections of 18 - 20 students

Teaching Assistant

Summer internship with Tesla Motors in Palo Alto. Worked as part of the Motor mechanical design team. Over the course of the internship I was given many responsibilities. The primary ones being:Optimize the design of parts in the rotor sub-assembly through iterative analysis and prototype testing. This included a new cost-saving and multi-function rotor component for production as well as doing research and development of an entirely new component. This involved initial design, theoretical analysis from first principals, experimenting with manufacturing techniques to ensure the most reliable and cost effective final product, working with suppliers, making prototypes, designing and running validation tests and presenting the final project status.
