Peggy Van de Plassche is a leading senior advisor in the financial services and fintech industries, with over 20 years of experience as an executive, entrepreneur, investor, and board member. Currently serving as Managing Partner at Roar Growth, Peggy advises growth, PE, and VC investors on portfolio companies in the financial services industry, including fintechs, banks, and investment managers. Her areas of expertise include wealth management, governance, regulatory risk management, compliance, cybersecurity, impact investing, lending, and payments. Peggy provides support to investment teams in crafting investment theses and value creation plans, performing due diligence, and enabling transformational growth opportunities. Her post-transaction work includes sitting on boards, spearheading value creation agendas, and enabling exit strategies. Peggy has advised traditional FIs, investment funds, and fintechs such as BMO, CI Financial, HOOPP PE, OMERS VC, Wondeur AI, and InvestorCOM. She has led innovation for CIBC, allocated several billion dollars of capital to technology projects on behalf of CGI and BMO, managed a family office, and started two fintechs. Peggy is also an active speaker on fintechs and digital banking transformation, with over 50 global events in the past few years. She has invested in multiple companies that enable digital banking transformation. Peggy holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Business Administration and Management, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Accounting and Finance from IÉSEG School of Management. She also studied executive education in investment at Harvard Business School and finance at the CFA Institute. Peggy serves as a board member and investor at Impak Finance, Invest in Canada, and Holt Accelerator, among others.
