Peg McLaughlin

Peg McLaughlin is a highly accomplished financial services executive who has held key strategic leadership roles encompassing regulatory, operating, legal, and compliance functions in firms within highly regulated environments. With a wealth of experience, Peg has extensively advised and presented to corporate and mutual fund boards throughout her career. Her expertise spans across governance, oversight, regulation, and policy development, rooted in her early experiences at the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice. Peg's most recent role was as a founding member of the executive management team at Kramer Van Kirk Credit Strategies L.P. and Mariana Systems LLC, where she played critical roles in developing governance frameworks, operational oversight, and compliance functions. Her efforts were pivotal in propelling both companies to significant growth and eventual successful acquisitions by industry competitors. Prior to this, Peg served as Assistant General Counsel at Harris Associates L.P., overseeing legal, regulatory, and compliance activities during a period of substantial growth in assets under management. She was instrumental in creating regulatory and compliance frameworks for the Oakmark Funds and their Independent Board of Trustees. Peg's illustrious career began as an attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
