Pedro Pizarro

Pedro Pizarro is the president and CEO of Edison International, overseeing subsidiaries like Southern California Edison and Trio. Passionate about achieving California's 2045 climate goals, he leads initiatives in clean energy and electrification. Pedro is dedicated to supporting local communities through philanthropy and educational programs such as the Edison Scholars and Lineworker Scholarship. He co-chairs the Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council and has served as chair of the Edison Electric Institute and the Electric Power Research Institute. Pedro's interests span energy innovation, cybersecurity, diversity, and inclusion, with a focus on driving an equitable clean energy transition to combat climate change. Outside of work, he is a proud father, husband, and enjoys activities like jogging and biking. Pedro holds a PhD in Chemistry (Chemical Physics) from the California Institute of Technology, with previous studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. His past roles include positions at 3M, Edison International, Southern California Edison, and Edison Mission Energy, among others.
