Pavlina Hubkova
Law researcher
Pavlina Hubkova is a postdoctoral researcher at the Public Law Department of Maastricht University.1 She previously worked as a law researcher at the University of Luxembourg from March 2019.3 Her research focuses on various aspects of EU law, including EU soft law, EU administrative law, procedural law, judicial review, economic law, competition law, and financial regulation.1
Hubkova completed her legal education in the Czech Republic and obtained an LL.M. from the European University Institute in Florence. She later defended her PhD thesis at the University of Luxembourg.1 Her professional experience includes work in a law firm, the national administrative judiciary, the European Commission, and the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU).1
At Maastricht University, Hubkova teaches courses on comparative administrative law, EU soft law, and EU procedural law.1 She is also involved with the Maastricht Centre for European Law (MCEL) and the Globalisation & Law Network (GLaw-Net).1
Hubkova has published research papers on topics such as EU soft law and its impact on national administrative authorities.2 She is a member of editorial boards for legal journals and co-edits the REALaw blog.1
