Paulo Silveira is the CEO and co-founder of Alura, a Brazilian online education platform that specializes in training individuals in programming and technology-related skills. He has been in this role since July 2017, after previously serving as a Product Manager at Alura from 2013 to 2017.
Before co-founding Alura, Silveira held the position of Executive Director at Caelum from 2004 until 2017, contributing significantly to the field of technology education. He is also the founder and former editor of Casa do Código, a publishing house focused on technical books, which he managed from 2012 to 2015. His early career included roles as an instructor at Sun Microsystems and as a software developer at IBOPE.
Silveira holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a master's degree in the same field, focusing on Origami Mathematics and Algorithms. He has also completed a Data Science Bootcamp at Alura in 2021. He is proficient in multiple languages, including Portuguese, English, Russian, and French.1
