Paul Nini is a seasoned design educator and researcher with over thirty years of experience in the field. He has an extensive background as a Visual Communication Designer, working for consulting firms and as a solo practitioner. Paul has a strong portfolio in creating brand identities, user experiences, signage/wayfinding solutions, and information design systems for clients across various industries.
Specializing in human-centered design research, Paul excels in translating research findings into actionable insights and developing design strategies. His expertise also extends to design for social innovation, showcasing a versatile skill set within the design realm.
Paul Nini holds a Master of Science in Design with a focus on Visual Communication Design from the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He also completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design at Miami University, establishing a solid academic foundation for his career.
Throughout his professional journey, Paul Nini has been associated with reputable organizations. He currently serves as a Professor of Visual Communication Design at The Ohio State University, where he imparts his knowledge and expertise to the next generation of designers. Previously, he held the role of Principal Designer at Paul J. Nini Visual Communication Design and contributed as a Graduate Associate at Jay Doblin & Associates and as a Visual Communication Design Project Manager at Design Collective Incorporated.
