These facilities are applicable for early stage and scaling businesses that are aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Innovation SuperNetwork is a network of networks in the North East that promotes innovation by making the right connections between entrepreneurs, businesses, investors, organisations, opportunities and support. We run an annual innovation conference, VentureFest North East, and offer (routes to) innovation support and access to finance, such as through FinanceCamp and Entrepreneurs of the North. 

My role as Innovation Manager focuses on supporting Open Innovation by helping (often larger national and international) organisations define their innovation challenges and then connecting them to the most relevant solution providers within our network of more than 10,000 businesses. Conversely, I will be helping small businesses with new ideas for product and services connect with larger organisations that have access to much larger markets via innovation challenges, innovation competitions, accelerators and corporate venture programs.

I am keen to connect with:
•	Larger national and international businesses and organisations with innovation challenges, to find out how we can use our network to help address those needs;
•	Innovative North East-based companies to find out what they are doing, with a view to connecting them to the right opportunities as they arise.

Innovation Manager

During my eight plus years at Marketwise Strategies, I led numerous, often large, market research projects in education, health, life sciences, digital and technology markets. My work involved delivering strategic insights through qualitative and quantitative research, and developing business models and marketing strategies for a diverse range of clients.

Research for universities has informed strategies for: London and international campus developments; repositioning of a multi-million pound business unit; the development of student and business-facing brands; and commercialisation of their technologies and spin-out activity.

In B2B markets, my experience spans proof of concept, market entry and stakeholder perceptions research for products and services ranging from novel therapies, diagnostics and medical devices in the health sector to robotics solutions for the food & drinks and process industries to emerging technologies in renewable energy, advanced composites, medical and industrial biotechnology.

Whatever the project, I was known for having a superb eye for detail, a genuine interest in understanding people and their motivations, and an ability always to see the bigger picture.
