Paul Kats

Paul Kats, a serial entrepreneur, has an extensive background in launching and growing successful startups. He most notably co-founded and served as the CEO of the popular Los Angeles-based mobile app Vyng, which garnered a vast user base of over 20 million before being acquired by DigitalReef. Currently, he acts as an advisor at DigitalReef, leveraging his expertise to guide the company's strategic direction.

Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Paul is also an investor with a portfolio of 20 patents. Prior to Vyng, he founded a VR e-commerce company called Quest4Rent, which he later transitioned into a metaverse company, showcasing his adaptability and innovation in the tech industry.

In his present role, Paul is actively involved in mentoring and advising startups, particularly in the areas of operations, fundraising, and direct-to-consumer strategies. He plays a crucial role in empowering emerging businesses to achieve their full potential.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Paul has a diverse range of interests including freediving, traveling, and educating the youth on entrepreneurship in Los Angeles. His personal journey as a refugee from the Soviet Union has instilled in him a passion for guiding students with entrepreneurial aspirations, inspiring them to break barriers and explore limitless possibilities.

As an advocate for entrepreneurship education, Paul dedicates his time to teaching through programs such as NFTE and guest lecturing at the USC School of Entrepreneurship. His commitment to nurturing the next generation of business leaders reflects his belief in the boundless opportunities that entrepreneurship offers for personal and professional growth.

Paul holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics from the College of Business at California State University-Long Beach, providing him with a strong academic foundation to complement his practical experience in the business world.

Throughout his career, Paul has held key roles in various organizations, including serving as the COO of Voice.ai, an Advisor at DigitalReef, Managing Partner at Log AI Fund, CEO and Co-Founder of Vyng, Inc., Founder of Quest4Rent, Marketing Manager at RideAmigos Corp, and Director of Economic Development at Beautify Earth. These diverse experiences have equipped him with a broad skill set and deep industry knowledge to excel in his entrepreneurial pursuits.
