Paul Lee

Paul Jesse is a seasoned professional with a background in graphic design, web engineering, and IoT, currently working as a Senior Design Architect and Consultant at Amazon Web Services (AWS).

With over two decades of experience, Paul started his career in the late 90s as a print graphic designer and later transitioned to web engineering, where he played a crucial role in architecting front end systems for various college sports sites.

His journey into IoT began when he joined 2lemetry in Denver, which was eventually acquired by AWS. His expertise led him to build the first version of AWS IoT in Seattle, and later, he transitioned to the UX organization to implement a full Design System.

Paul's current role at AWS Professional Services involves consulting directly with AWS customers on innovation strategies, facilitating workshops on Customer Empathy, Personas, Journey Maps, and more. He specializes in UX, particularly in Data Visualization and Information Architecture, and is passionate about Customer Obsession.

Educationally, Paul studied Art Studio/Graphic Design at the University of Maryland College Park, following his graduation from Loch Raven High School.

Throughout his career, Paul has held various roles in organizations like SportsLabs, Zen Planner, and Robert Half Technology, showcasing his diverse skill set and expertise in design, engineering, and consulting.
