Paul Freedman
Professor of History at Yale University
Paul Freedman is a history professor with over thirty years of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students. He specializes in Medieval European history, Food Studies/Food History, and Agrarian history. His archival work has mainly been focused in Catalonia, and he continues to have a keen interest and expertise in this area. Recently, Freedman has delved into the history of food and cuisine, studying from the Middle Ages to modern times, with a desire to further explore the realm of food in contemporary America.
Freedman holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of California, Berkeley, and an AB in History from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He has taught at esteemed institutions such as Yale University, where he currently serves as a Professor of History, and previously at Vanderbilt University in various professorial roles.
