Paul Elbers

Dr. Paul Elbers, MD, PhD, EDIC, is an expert in intensive care medicine, artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, predictive analytics, electronic health records, microcirculation, heart-lung interaction, acid-base medicine, and pharmacometrics.

He holds a Medical Degree from the University of Amsterdam and studied Technical Business Administration at Universiteit Twente.

Dr. Elbers has held various significant roles in prestigious organizations including being an Intensivist at VUmc and having served in leadership positions at the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) such as Deputy Chair of the Data Science Section, Deputy Chair of the Technology Assessment and Health Informatics Working Group, and more.
