Paul Buitrago

Paul Buitrago is the Senior Vice President and Market Executive at Old Dominion National Bank, a position he assumed in December 2023. He is responsible for delivering traditional commercial banking products and services to clients in Fairfax County, Virginia, as well as the broader Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. His expertise primarily focuses on lending to small businesses and non-profit organizations, particularly in sectors such as government contracting, waste management, and commercial real estate financing.12

With 21 years of experience in commercial banking, Buitrago has held positions at various community banks, including EagleBank, Alliance Bank, Bank of Georgetown, and Capital Bank. Notably, he spent a decade at Capital Bank as Market Executive for Virginia and D.C., where he led a team of commercial lenders and portfolio managers.14

Buitrago holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Maryland (College Park), graduated from the Virginia Banker’s Association School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business, and is known for his commitment to finding solutions for clients' borrowing and deposit needs.13
