Patrizia Professional is a highly skilled Computer Science professional with a Bachelor's degree from Italy and a Master's degree from Austria.
She discovered her passion for IoT during the IBM student program, Extreme Blue, in 2013 and has been deeply involved in IoT ever since.
As a freelancer, she assists companies in developing and implementing their IoT strategies from concept to product launch.
Her prior roles at IBM included lead software developer positions in areas such as device management, gateway support, and risk management for the IBM Watson IoT platform, where she earned recognition for her contributions.
Patrizia was honored by IBM with an Outstanding Technical Achievement (OTA) for her innovative work on gateway support, which was later patented based on her master thesis findings.
She was selected for the Women Leadership program at IBM in the D-A-CH region in 2017.
Patrizia's diverse skill set includes entrepreneurship, strategic planning, technical vision, and client advocacy.
She collaborates with clients and partners across various sectors, from startups to large enterprises, bringing innovative IoT solutions to life.
A serial entrepreneur, Patrizia has a penchant for exploring new technologies and regularly participates in hackathons, winning competitions such as HackZurich and the Microsoft hackathon in Berlin.
In 2017, she founded HackTheAlps, an organization that hosts hackathons in the Alps.
An experienced exhibitor at international fairs, Patrizia has showcased cutting-edge IoT concepts at events like CES in Las Vegas, IFA in Berlin, and CEBIT in Hannover, both for IBM and her own clients.
Her academic background includes studies at Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck and Libera Università di Bolzano.
She has held various roles in organizations such as Bosch, IBM, and as the President of HackTheAlps.
