Patrick Yip is a seasoned investment principal with extensive experience in private equity investments. He specializes in energy transition and clean energy technology, including renewable energy, industrial investments, and traditional energy, such as oil and gas upstream, oilfield services, midstream, and downstream. With a strong background in finance, global business, and accounting, Patrick is well-versed in deal sourcing, analyzing, negotiating, and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, majority and minority investments, strategic alliances, and joint ventures.
Patrick's expertise lies in private equity investments, growth equity, buyouts, LBS, publicly-traded equities, and private equity portfolio management. He is also skilled in conducting due diligence in areas such as FCPA, legal, tax, financial, market, regulatory, environmental, and industry analysis. Patrick is experienced in financial modeling, including valuation, DCF discounted cash flow, NAV, and industry multiple financial models to determine if investments meet the firm's IRR and cash multiple investment criteria.
Patrick holds an MBA in Finance, Global Business, and Accounting from NYU Stern School of Business, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis, and studied at St. John's School.
He is currently a Managing Director at GEC and has served on the board of Locus Bio-Energy Solutions and Flowco Production Solutions.
