Patrick Weston MD MBA

Dr. Patrick Weston, MD, MBA, is a highly experienced Physician Investigator for clinical research trials with over 20 years of expertise in the clinical research industry.

He has contributed to several articles in peer-reviewed research journals and has been involved in both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials.

His current role involves serving as a physician investigator across various clinical phases in diverse therapeutic areas such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and Alzheimer's Disease, to name a few.

Dr. Weston actively participates in the drug development process of clinical research, aiding pharmaceutical companies in successfully introducing new drugs and medical devices to the market through Phase 1 to Phase 4 clinical trials.

Currently, as the Clinical Director of a multi-phase clinical research organization, he manages critical aspects of the Clinical Research Trial Process including IRB submissions, CTA negotiation, and clinical trial budgeting.

He collaborates with a wide range of pharmaceutical companies, from industry giants like Pfizer and Merck to emerging biotech firms such as Arena Pharmaceuticals and Abbott.

In addition, Dr. Weston works closely with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) like IQVIA, ICON, and Parexel, and clinical trial recruitment firms such as WCG ThreeWire and AutoCruitment.

His educational background includes an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, along with studies in Cardiovascular Diseases, Internal Medicine, Medicine, and Microbiology from reputable institutions like Boston University School of Medicine, Duke University, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and Penn State University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Weston has held key positions at organizations such as KPMD Research, Synergy Healthcare, WestRock Investments, Aria Health + Wellness Institute, and Chicago Heart and Vascular Consultants Ltd. and Northwestern Memorial Hospital/Chicago Lake Shore Medical Associates.
