Patrick Deem

Patrick Deem is a seasoned startup founder and senior management professional with a rich background in finance and strategy, boasting over 20 years of experience in managing business growth both in the US and internationally.

Currently, Patrick is involved in launching a new venture in the retirement space, with more details to be revealed soon. his previous notable role was as the Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Voodoo Manufacturing, a prominent next-generation manufacturing company that was part of Y Combinator's W17 cohort. At Voodoo, he spearheaded business development, financial operations, and strategic initiatives.

Before his tenure at Voodoo, Patrick served as a Project Manager to the President and Head of M&A at MakerBot Industries, where he played a crucial role in identifying, acquiring, and integrating two companies, one of which was a cross-border acquisition.

Patrick's professional journey also includes stints as an investment analyst at prominent hedge funds, where he was instrumental in setting investment strategies and pinpointing lucrative opportunities. His skills span various domains including general management, product launches, market entries, negotiation of financing, strategic planning, and overseeing business operations.

In terms of education, Patrick pursued an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, a Master of Arts in International Studies with a focus on Eastern Europe and Russia from The Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. He also underwent training at Y Combinator and holds a BA in International Studies with a concentration on Russia from The Johns Hopkins University.

Over the course of his career, Patrick has been associated with prestigious organizations. He served as a Venture Partner at Orange DAO, founded a new venture, assumed the role of Senior Venture Partner at Pioneer Fund, Co-Founded and held the position of CFO and Head of Business Development at Voodoo Manufacturing, Inc., was a Project Manager at MakerBot®, and worked as an Investment Analyst at Crossroads Partners, LP and RockHill Global LLC. Additionally, he was an Associate at Probitas Partners and an Investment Banking Analyst at Banc of America Securities.
