Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is the flagship 987-bed regional medical center of the Inova Health System. The campus is made up of four hospitals: Inova Fairfax Hospital, Inova Children’s Hospital, Inova Women’s Hospital, and the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute. The medical campus is a nursing and medical teaching facility, and includes Northern Virginia’s only Level 1 trauma center. It was also the first Magnet nursing facility in the Washington, DC region,
The Inova Fairfax Medical Campus includes more than 200 departments, over 2,250 staff physicians, and has a $1.4 billion budget.  There are over 6000 FTE’s including 2200 nurses on the campus, and the quality of care is superb.   The hospital annually continues to receive awards as one of the best hospitals in the U.S., both locally and nationally, in such categories as “One of America’s Top 50 Hospitals” from U.S. News & World Report; “Top 100 Hospitals” from Solucient; and “one of the best children’s hospitals in the nation” from Child Magazine. 
The Chief Executive Officer reports to the President\Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Executive Officer of the Inova Health System. 

*   Lead the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus to our November 2012 Epic implementation. 
*   Developing a simulation center to further research, physician and nurse training, and to            support  the UME program.
*   Developing resident training program within the departments of OB/GYN and Medicine.
 *  Lead the $850M campus redesign which include a new med-surg adult tower, children's hospital, and women's hospital.

Chief Executive Officer, Inova Fairfax Medical Campus

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for the overall management of Inova Fairfax Hospital, a 987 bed facility, under the provisions of the policies and directives of Inova Health System and external regulatory agencies.  The COO directs the operational implementation of Inova Fairfax Hospital’s strategic and financial plans.  Leads and coordinates the activities of the facility to promote the vision of an integrated quality system of care.

Chief Operating Officer, Inova Fairfax Medical Campus

Responsible all aspects of the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute and provided overall strategic and operational leadership.  Created an environment that was responsive to physician needs and supported a positive working relationship with the physician community.  
Defined and validated the vision for IHVI for the next decade.
Executed the plan to position the Institute as a top 15 Heart Center in the US (US News & World Report rankings). 
Embraced the organization’s vision to be a world class teaching and research institution and help, strengthen and support the IHVI medical leadership with their efforts toward this endeavor.
