Patricio Yankilevich

Dr. Patricio Yankilevich is a highly qualified professional with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, a MSc. in Bioinformatics & Neuroinformatics, and a BSc. in Computer Science. He has a diverse educational background, with experience in developing methodologies for microarray time series analysis and gene network inference.
Currently serving as the Bioinformatics Group Leader at the Instituto de Investigación en Biomedicina de Buenos Aires – CONICET – Instituto Partner de la Sociedad Max Planck (IBioBA-CONICET-MPSP), Dr. Yankilevich has also held positions as a Product Manager at Integromics SL., Researcher at the Spanish National Center of Biotechnology (CNB), Bioinformatics Laboratory Director at the Instituto de Agrobiotecnología de Rosario, and more.
With expertise in Genomics, Proteomics, and Systems Biology, Dr. Yankilevich has worked on various projects in Clinical/Health, Agrobiotech, and Environmental fields. His specialties include Biological Networks, Gene expression analysis, Sequence analysis, and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS). Having worked in prestigious institutions like the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO, Madrid) and the University of Buenos Aires, Dr. Yankilevich has a strong foundation in bioinformatics and interdisciplinary skills.
His educational journey includes studies at the University of Edinburgh, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and the University of Buenos Aires. He has also been associated with organizations like GENOMAP, Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas, and Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, among others.
Dr. Yankilevich's career spans roles such as Bioinformatics software developer, Professor, Director, and Staff Scientist, showcasing his versatility and leadership in the field of bioinformatics. With a rich background in research, product management, and academia, he continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of bioinformatics and related disciplines.
