Pat Boroian

Pat Boroian is a seasoned professional in the private equity and credit investment sectors, currently serving as the Managing Director - Head of Originations for Illiquid Credit at The Carlyle Group. His tenure at Carlyle lasted from June 2020 to August 2021, where he focused on sourcing investments in non-cyclical companies, providing various forms of credit including senior and junior debt, and facilitating financing for private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers.12

With nearly 30 years of experience, Boroian has held significant roles in various firms. Before his time at Carlyle, he was a Partner at LNK Partners and Brockway Moran & Partners, where he led origination activities. His career also includes being a General Partner at The Sprout Group and a Managing Director at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners.12

In September 2022, he joined Blue Sea Capital as a Partner, where he leads business development and serves on the Investment Committee, focusing on growth-oriented lower middle-market companies.13 Boroian's extensive background underscores his expertise in private equity origination and investment strategy across various industries, including healthcare, industrials, and aerospace & defense.23

He holds an MBA in Finance & Marketing from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University.2
