Develop the software and construct the hardware to create a ground based magnetometer controlled by a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ using a PNI RM3100 commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) magnetometer. COTS magnetometers have the potential to dramatically decrease both the cost and failure rate of ground magnetometers in remote polar regions monitoring the Earth's magnetic field. This data provides insight into the interactions between our magnetic field and various space weather events.

As the Founder and President of Michigan Vertical Flight Technology (MVFT), I work to guide the team's goals, task management, and overall direction. Specifically, my focus on the following:

-Organize the team's structure and team meetings to work as efficiently as possible
-Serve as the primary contact for the team to work with the University of Michigan, faculty advisers, and external partners
-Track the team's schedule to move quickly and meet all deadlines
-Guide the discussion of major team decisions concerning our goals and how we choose to compete
-Look for opportunities to grow the team and participate in activities that contribute to the growth of our members

MVFT is currently competing in the inaugural Vertical Flight Society Design-Build-Vertical Flight Competition. We are focused on using this competition to aid in the development of sustainable electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. By helping to start and grow this competition, we aim to improve student hands-on experience on the international stage in this new industry, enabling student growth and creating a pipeline for companies to recruit knowledgeable young engineers.

Major contributions in the design, analysis, and construction of the electric propulsion system to take the pod safely from 0-300 miles per hour in 800 meters at the 2018 SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition in Hawthorne, California. Hands on experience assembling the pod and testing subsystems prior to the competition.
