Paolo Pinato

Paolo Pinato is an accomplished Electrical Engineer with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and a Master's Degree in the field, registered in Novara's Professional Engineer Register as nr. 1943/A.

Specializing in Electrical Power Plant design, both renewable and conventional, and Automation, Paolo has a wealth of experience in preliminary, definitive, and construction design, project management, final testing, start-up procedures, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) management.

His expertise extends to various areas including E-mobility and charging stations (EVC), advanced solutions in innovative energy markets like Virtual Power Plants, handling High Voltage, Medium Voltage, and Low Voltage equipment, installations of Lightning Protection Systems, Distribution and Switchgears, SCADA for power plant supervision, Railway installations, and Industrial processes.

In addition to his design and project management skills, Paolo is well-versed in Energy Audits, conducting Preliminary Business assessments, and estimating primary technical and economic indexes and ratios to provide thorough insights into energy and electric works.

One of his specialties lies in implementing dedicated software and tools for the sizing and design of energy projects, modeling grids and systems related to power plants, especially focusing on renewable sources such as PV, Wind, Biomass, and Hydro, with a keen eye on conducting preliminary financial analysis including metrics like IRR, VAN, and simple payback periods.

Paolo's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical Science from ITIS, a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with honors from Politecnico di Milano, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.

Throughout his career, Paolo has held key positions in various organizations, serving as the Head of Engineering and Operation at Be Power Spa, Chief Technical Officer at Be Power, Chief Technology Officer at Building Energy S.p.A., Specialist Electrical Engineer and Operation Manager at Infrastrutture SpA, Project Manager and Project Engineer at AustEx Srl, and Progettista di Sistemi at Politecnico di Milano.
