Paheli Desai-Chowdhry

Paheli Desai-Chowdhry, a third-year PhD student in Biomathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles, specializes in mathematical modeling in neuroscience.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UC San Diego in Mathematics/Applied Science with a focus on chemistry.

During her undergraduate studies, she contributed to a theoretical physics research group exploring neuron ion channel dynamics and neuronal network modeling.

Currently, at UCLA, Paheli spearheads an interdisciplinary project leveraging calculus, physics, and image data analysis to investigate the correlation between nerve cell structure and function.
