Owen Wright is a well-known Australian surfer who was born on January 5, 1990, in Culburra Beach, New South Wales. Growing up on the south coast of NSW, he started surfing at a young age and soon began competing professionally.
Wright has had an impressive career, with numerous wins and accolades under his belt. He won his first pro event at the age of 16 and has since gone on to win multiple World Surf League (WSL) events, including the Fiji Pro, Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast, and the Pipeline Masters. He has also been a World Title contender, finishing in the top 5 of the WSL rankings multiple times.
In 2015, Wright suffered a severe injury while surfing in Hawaii. He suffered a traumatic brain injury that required extensive rehabilitation, but he was determined to get back to surfing. In 2017, he made an inspiring comeback and won the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast.
Besides surfing, Wright is also passionate about music and photography. He often shares his photographs on social media and has released several music albums.
