Omkar Sawant

Omkar Sawant is a Data Analytics Specialist at Google, based in Mumbai, India. He has been with Google since January 2023, where he focuses on helping startups leverage cloud technology and develop effective data and AI strategies. His role involves collaborating with new-age businesses to address their challenges and create agile plans that enable technical scaling and strategic development around people, processes, and technology.1

Before joining Google, Omkar worked as a Senior Associate Solutions Consultant at TIBCO for a brief period in 2019, where he was involved in data virtualization and analysis for various industries including oil and gas, semi-conductor manufacturing, and telecommunications. He also held the position of Associate Solutions Consultant at TIBCO from 2017 to 2019, where he worked closely with clients to enhance their data management solutions.1

Omkar has a strong academic background, having been involved with the Entrepreneurship Cell at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, where he engaged with startups and their challenges. He has also held various roles at Microsoft, including being a Microsoft Research and Student Partner, which allowed him to connect with technology enthusiasts and lead tech events.1

In terms of certifications, Omkar holds multiple qualifications from both Google and Microsoft related to cloud services and data engineering.1
