    Olof Olsson is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in environmental research and leadership roles.

    His career highlights include serving as the Managing Director at the Stockholm Resilience Centre (SRC) at Stockholm University for more than ten years.

    He transitioned to a research-focused role within SRC in mid-2019 while retaining his position as a Strategic Adviser.

    Olof also briefly held the position of Interim CEO at EAT in Oslo for eight months in 2019-2020 and served as the Acting Director at the Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) for nine months in 2018-2019.

    Prior to joining SRC in 2009, he excelled as the Programs Director at the Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research (Mistra) and as a Senior Advisor at the Swedish Ministry for the Environment.

    With a solid educational background, Olof obtained his PhD focusing on behavioural and life-history ecology of King Penguins from Uppsala University, building on his basic education in biology and geosciences from Lund University.

    Complementing his professional achievements, Olof has been actively involved in seabird research projects across various regions, with notable contributions at Stora Karlsö in the Baltic Sea, Lofoten, and Svalbard.

    Currently, Olof Olsson serves as a Strategic Advisor and Researcher at the Stockholm Resilience Centre, leveraging his wealth of experience and expertise in environmental studies and leadership.
