Assistant Accountant & Credit Controller in the Finance Team. 

Credit Controller:
Managing client relationships when dealing with client finances, significantly reduced the debt ledger, collecting approx £1m each month from an existing debtor ledger with debts outstanding by over five years. Developed and maintained excellent rapport with clients, working in partnership with customer service and the sales department to raise credit notes, resolve account queries and ensure invoices were paid within terms. Acted as the main point of contact for clients, suppliers and auditors, addressing written and verbal enquiries in a timely, accurate and polite manner. Produced accurate daily reports on collection issues for presentation to the management team and board meetings. 

Accounts Assistant:
Accountable for the receipt, sorting and reconciliation of cheques, direct debits, CHAP’s / BAC’s account payments and petty cash from customers and suppliers. Ensured payment cashbooks were kept up to date, maintaining receipts, posting payments, raising credit notes, adjustments and refunds.
