Oliver Reichenstein

Oliver Reichenstein, a multilingual professional with a background in Philosophy, is a prominent figure in the field of UX design, information architecture, and digital branding.

Having studied Philosophy in Basel, Paris, and Keio University, Oliver's journey into the digital realm began in 1999 as a UX designer for a web and branding agency.

His career took him to Tokyo in 2003, where he founded Information Architects Inc. in 2005, catering to the Japanese market with a focus on website and app design for major media organizations like Tages-Anzeiger, Die Zeit, The Guardian, Nikkei, and NHK.

Oliver's expertise in information architecture, interaction design, information design, digital branding, and screen typography has been pivotal in iA's success in the competitive digital landscape.

Under his leadership, iA released Writer in 2010, a writing app that became a blueprint for focused writing apps and garnered over 3 million downloads, demonstrating his innovative approach to product development.

In 2023, iA launched their second app, iA Presenter, targeting the presentation market, showcasing the team's versatility and commitment to creating user-centric solutions.

Continuing their innovation, iA ventured into physical products in 2024 with the release of iA Notebook, further establishing their presence beyond the digital domain.

Oliver's teaching experience at KEIO University and fluency in German, French, Italian, English, and Japanese underscore his versatility and global perspective.
