Oliver Arafat

Oliver Arafat is an accomplished professional with a strong background in computer science and software engineering.

He obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science and went on to achieve a Master's in Software Engineering with honors, both from Technical University of Munich, Ludwig Maximilians University, University of Augsburg.

Currently, Oliver holds the esteemed position of Head of Cloud Solution Architects for DACH and CEE regions at Alibaba Cloud, demonstrating his expertise in cloud solutions and architecture.

Prior to his role at Alibaba Cloud, Oliver served as a Technical Evangelist for Azure and Open Source at Microsoft, showcasing his talent in advocating for technology and open-source initiatives.

With a rich professional history, Oliver has also worked as a Senior Enterprise Evangelist at Amazon Web Services, further solidifying his prowess in the technology industry.

His experience includes roles as an IT-Consultant at Microsoft, Software Architect and Product Manager at Siemens Corporate Research and Technologies, and Developer in Research positions at SAP Labs and IBM Deutschland GmbH.

Oliver's diverse background also features a stint as an IT-Freelancer, where he excelled as a Software Engineer at Dr.Schwab Gesellschaft für Technologieberatung.

His comprehensive expertise, spanning various renowned organizations, reflects his deep knowledge and skills in cloud solutions, software architecture, product management, and technology consulting.
