Oleg Petrov

Oleg Petrov is a Program Coordinator at the World Bank, where he has been employed since 1996. His work primarily focuses on digital development, knowledge sharing, and the advancement of a data-driven economy across various countries. Petrov has contributed to initiatives related to digital academies, smart cities, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and digital resilience. He has also played a significant role in the development of digital investment projects in several Eurasian countries, including Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Moldova.13
In addition to his project work, Petrov has initiated several global programs such as the Global Development Gateway and the Smart Africa Alliance, and has developed numerous digital assessment toolkits. He holds a Master’s Degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, along with diplomas from the Plekhanov Russian Economics University and Moscow International University.12
