I led EY Strategy and Transaction practice in the Northern Capital of Russia, based on my extensive experience in transactions with targets in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkmenistan.

Here, modelling for the State support arrangement and for Strategy development were the new areas of my engagements.

Partner, Strategy and Transactions

I led multiple transaction projects related to:
- sell side M&A mandates for retail and infrastructure businesses
- market studies and business plan development for new investments and market entry
- valuation and pricing analysis for the purposes of debt and equity raising and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, share conversion and statutory requirements
- financial modelling and model review for the purposes of new market entrance strategy, investment assessment and debt raising.

My main focus was on the following sectors: Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining, Infrastructure and Utilities, Retail and Telecommunications.

I developed proficiency in Tariff policy including the following projects:
- Assessment of feasibility of private locomotive traction at the Kazakhstan mainline railway network 2020, 
- Kazakhstan: Infrastructure Regulation and Tariff Policy for EBRD and Ministry of National Economy, 2014-2015
- Assessment of current tariff practice and support in tariff application for a number of Water and District Heating companies in Kazakhstan, 2014-2018
- Review of Kazakhstan tariff policy, best international practices and basic recommendations for Samruk Kazyna, 2012-2013

At Accounting, Statistics and Audit Department, as a visiting professor I facilitated the following courses:
- IFRS
- Business Valuation
- Financial game

Senior lecturer

I participated in and led the projects related to:
- valuation and pricing analysis for the purpose of debt and equity raising and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, share conversion and statutory requirements
- purchase price allocation, brand valuation and other valuation related procedures for financial statements purposes

My main focus was on the following sectors: Machinery & Automotive, Metals & Mining, Chemicals and Fertilizers, Electric Power, with minor focus on retail and consumer products and telecommunications
