Ody De La Paz

Ody De La Paz is the Co-Founder and CEO of Sensytec, Inc., a company that specializes in advanced IoT solutions for the concrete industry. His journey into this field began with his experience in construction during his late teens and early twenties, where he encountered the labor-intensive processes involved in concrete testing. This experience inspired him to seek innovative solutions to improve efficiency in the industry.

In 2016, while studying entrepreneurship at the University of Houston, Ody partnered with Anudeep Reddy, a civil and structural engineering student, to develop "smart cement" technology that monitors the structural health of concrete. This collaboration led to the founding of Sensytec, which focuses on wireless real-time monitoring of concrete and offers an application that helps contractors manage their projects more effectively, potentially saving significant time and costs.12

Under Ody's leadership, Sensytec aims to address the outdated practices prevalent in the concrete sector, which often rely on manual testing methods that are time-consuming and inefficient. The company is currently seeking investment to expand its operations and enhance its technological offerings.1
