Oby has been counsel for both public and private companies, private equity investors, venture capital investors, and other participants in the corporate finance arena.

Oby Brewer joined James - Bates in March 2010 after a long and illustrious tenure at the Atlanta firm of Morris, Manning & Martin. During his time there, the firm grew substantially, from 12 to almost 200 attorneys, largely due to his contributions in the technology and healthcare markets.

His recent transactions showcase his proficiency in diverse areas, such as restructuring joint ventures and partnerships, advising on mergers worth millions, organizing investor syndicates, facilitating acquisitions, developing go-to-market strategies, and securing investment funds, among other significant deals.
