Nobu Kumagai
Nobu Kumagai is an accomplished entrepreneur, former venture capitalist, and seasoned investment banker with over two decades of experience. He currently serves as the founding CEO at an early stage food start-up in stealth mode. Additionally, he is the founding managing partner for Wildcard Program, a start-up incubator that assists Japanese start-ups in launching businesses in the United States. Kumagai previously worked as the Head of Business Development, Finance at Japan Travel K.K., a prominent start-up in Tokyo, and as a senior venture capitalist at JAIC, where he was responsible for managing the Mobile Technology Fund, a joint global fund with NTT Docomo. Before his VC stint, Kumagai spent ten years in investment banking, working for well-regarded firms like Lehman Brothers, HSBC, and Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley. He also holds an MBA from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management and a bachelor's degree from Keio University.
