Nkonye Iwerebon
Dean of Admissions at Columbia Law School
Nkonye Iwerebon is a highly accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in both academia and private practice. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Economics from Northwestern University before pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at Columbia Law School. After graduation, Iwerebon gained experience as an Associate at Winston & Strawn LLP and later as a Litigation Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
Driven by her passion for legal education, Iwerebon eventually returned to Columbia Law School as Associate Dean and Dean of Admissions. In this role, she is responsible for leading the admissions process and shaping the school's diverse student body. Her experience in private practice and academia has given her a unique perspective and insight into the legal profession.
