Nixon Joseph

Nixon Joseph is an experienced Banker and CSR professional with a strong background in Investments, Risk Management, Corporate Finance, Retail Banking, Credit Analysis, and syndication.

He started his career in 1985 as a Probationary Officer at SBI and has since held various key roles including Manager (Operations) at SBI Bahrain and CEO at SBI Tokyo branch.

Nixon is a Certified Banking Compliance Professional and a Certified Credit Officer, demonstrating his expertise in compliance and credit assessment.

In addition to his banking career, he has been actively involved in community and leadership activities, having served as the President of Toastmasters Club in Tokyo and as a founder of the Tokyo International Debating Society.

With a passion for fitness and endurance, Nixon has completed an impressive 45 full marathons, a unique achievement within the public sector banking industry.

As the Coordinator of SBI youth for India fellowship, he has been instrumental in mentoring numerous young individuals, contributing to their personal and professional growth.

Currently, Nixon Joseph holds the position of President & Chief Operating Officer at SBI Foundation, where he spearheads the organization's CSR initiatives for the State Bank of India.

His outstanding contributions to the field have been recognized with the prestigious Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam award for professional excellence, showcasing his dedication and impact in the banking and CSR sectors.
