Nitzan Pelman

Nitzan Pelman is a social entrepreneur with a passion for education and workforce development. With a Masters in Public Administration from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in History and Talmud from Stern College for Women, Pelman has an extensive background in education and non-profit management.

Pelman founded ReUp Education and served as its CEO for three years, successfully partnering with universities to re-enroll thousands of students who had previously dropped out of college. Prior to ReUp, she was the first Executive Director of Citizen Schools New York, created to help students graduate high school at higher rates. She started the New York region, raised millions of dollars, and grew the organization to over 100 staff members.

More recently, Pelman founded Climb Hire, an upskilling program helping overlooked and hidden talent prepare for "new collar" jobs related to Salesforce. Her Climb Hire program uses social capital to build and develop talent, bringing her background in non-profit management and education to bear.

Pelman has advised and supported various education technology companies and non-profit organizations. She is an Aspen Institute Ascend Fellow and was featured in The Limited's "What Leading Looks Like" campaign.
