Nithya Mahadevan

Nithya Mahadevan is currently the Head of Data Science & AI at Google, where she has been instrumental in applying artificial intelligence to enhance advertising strategies. Her career at Google began as a Data Scientist, progressing through various roles including Data Science Lead and Data Science Manager, before assuming her current position in June 2022.25

Education and Early Career

Nithya holds a Master of Science in Computational Decision Science and Operations Research from the Illinois Institute of Technology, which she completed between 2016 and 2018. Before that, she earned her Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University in 2011.12

Her professional journey began at Mu Sigma, a decision sciences and analytics firm, where she spent several years in various roles, including Data Science Manager. During her time there, she developed significant expertise in analytics and machine learning, working on projects that had substantial business impacts, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector.12
