Business Development Manager

At Macquarie the main focus is on hosting with data, voice and mobile solutions to provide a whole of business solution. Partnering with our customers allows us to understand their business and provide the right solutions, built to their requirements.


My role at Macquarie was 100% new customer acquisition focused.  I was responsible for selling complex hosting and managed services to corporate customers. My primary function was to identify and introduce new business opportunities to add to the growth of Macquarie Telecom’s customer base and hosting and managed services business.  

The ability to identify key decision makers and influencers and then develop a contact map between Macquarie’s executive and technical teams to the customer’s organisation is a key contributor to my success.  By facilitating this active team approach to customer engagement, I find the customer feels valued and the people I work with have the opportunity to contribute to the relationship and sales process.

Macquarie Telecom

To develop new IT sales and services business for NetStar Australia. The primary focus of the role was to promote and sell computer network services offered by NetStar including audit, installation and support services.

This role required extensive knowledge of Cisco, VMWare and EMC products and technologies. The role required flexibility and the ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a close-knit team. An integral part of my position was to re-establish the footprint of Netstar in Queensland by doing marketing events and liaising with vendors and partners to successfully establish Netstar’s reputation in the IT Industry.
