Niraj Aswani

Niraj Aswani is the CTO & Co-founder of Klevu Oy, a Finnish tech startup specializing in AI-powered e-commerce search and product discovery solutions.2 He has been in this role since July 2013, helping online retailers improve their customer experience and conversion rates.2

Aswani has a strong background in computer science and natural language processing. He holds a PhD in designing a general framework for text alignment, with a focus on South Asian languages, from the University of Sheffield.2 He also earned an MSc in Advanced Computer Science from the same institution.2

Before co-founding Klevu, Aswani worked as a Research Associate at the University of Sheffield for over 10 years.2 He played a significant role in developing GATE (General Architecture for Text Engineering), an open-source system for text processing.
