Nina Bennett

Nina Bennett is a seasoned municipal strategy consultant with over ten years of experience, specializing in embedding equity goals into local government operations.

She excels in facilitating equity-centered budget reform, strategic planning, and process redesign to drive tangible quality-of-life improvements.

Nina holds a Masters of City Planning with a focus on Economic Development from the University of California, Berkeley, and an A.B. in Public Policy Studies and Economics from the University of Chicago.

Additionally, she completed her Trilingual International Baccalaureate at the International School of Geneva.

Currently, Nina serves as a Director at HR&A Advisors, working closely with local government clients to advance equity initiatives.

Prior to her current role, she held positions as a Senior Managing Consultant and Senior Analyst at The PFM Group, as well as roles at BAE Urban Economics Inc, Downtown Berkeley Association, and the Center for Community Innovation at UC Berkeley.

Nina's diverse experience includes a role as a Truman Fellow at the Office of Rural Health Care Policy within the US Department of Health & Human Services and as an Assistant Asylum Coordinator at the National Immigrant Justice Center.

Throughout her career, Nina has worked with mid-size local governments across the United States, with a particular affinity for clients in the Heartland, Rust Belt, and Deep South regions.
