Nikola Simpson

Nikola Simpson is a versatile individual with a strong background in coastal and environmental management.

With a Master of Science from The University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus and a Bachelor of Science in Marine and Freshwater Biology from the University of Guelph, she possesses a solid academic foundation.

Throughout her career, Nikola has been involved in various organizations and held multiple roles, showcasing her expertise in sustainability, marine biology, and blue economy.

She currently serves as the Head of the Accelerator Lab for Barbados & the Eastern at UNDP Accelerator Labs, where she drives innovation and sustainable development.

Previously, Nikola was the Founder of The Crate Barbados and held directorial positions at Sustainable Caribbean and Slow Fish Barbados.

Her experience also includes roles such as Marine Biologist, Natural Resource Manager, and Head of Exploration at different organizations, highlighting her diverse skill set and leadership capabilities.

Nikola Simpson's background encompasses a wide range of activities, including consultancy work for fisheries, tutoring, and fieldwork in marine conservation projects like the Barbados Sea Turtle Project.

She is known for her insights on the planet, people, policy, and partnerships, making meaningful contributions to the environmental and sustainable development sectors.
