I gladly joined the agency to fuel its growth and Thomas joined our venture to rock our common vision: to make entrepreneurs & small businesses win, because their dreams matter.

We are using our tech platform to bypass the digital transformation of one of our own agencies and quantum leap from a service based agency into a SaaS like company.

Ramped up account managers to ratio of 1 per 400 clients. Launched listing management product under 8 months. Expanded basic websites to premium websites that compete with agency custom sites.

Built a WordPress offer by adding a robust layer of standardization on top. Built a client success model that would yield less than 4% yearly churn for our websites. Built custom workflow engine for execution. Took over and ramped up the Paid Ads team.

TC had been hesitant about selling websites for about a decade. When former Googler Stéphane Gagné was looking for his man to build the product, my former boss easily convinced them I was carved for the job.

A good friend of mine needed a right hand to build a call center from scratch. We cracked the code for selling online directory outside the province, with one cold call, on credit card and then built a team of 20+ sales rep.

Found new partners and completed seed round of 450k to launch a mixology lounge concept. 2008 was a rough financial years and we were not able to secure the operating funds so we ran on fumes for a while. 

Unless you're seriously shorting stocks, market crashes aren't a whole lot of fun it turns out. Lol! :)

We took a deep look at the business and started working together on business processes and strategy.  Found some good talent, clarified vision and focus, created opportunities for business development and gave a new direction.

I learned a lot of about software and application development back in those days.

I was bartending on week-ends as a side gig.  Management got wind of my day job & eventually convinced me to overhaul their promo teams. 

Led me to a general manager position & became the managing partner to lead the turnaround for the next 4 years.

As can often be the case in the nightlife, the relationship didn't exactly work out, near the end, with my partners...lol!  So I had to move on to the next challenge.

I was working on a naval conquest board game concept when I met with the late Patrick Teasdale. We immediately hit it off and decided to found ACE Factory in order to commercialize his brainchild, a chess/checker like flag game set in medieval times. I was later joined by Martin Dagneau and those were some of the most formative years of my life.

From product design to local manufacturing, financing to distribution and dabbing into what would later be known as crowdfunding, we had quite a blast!
