Nikki Behnke

Nikki Behnke is a dedicated professional with a strong background in international development and global health, particularly focusing on the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WaSH) sector. She recently completed her Master's degree in Environmental Sciences and Engineering at the University of North Carolina's Gillings School of Global Public Health, where she collaborated with the prestigious Water Institute. Her research has centered around enhancing WaSH and environmental health services for forcibly displaced populations, with a notable emphasis on the Azraq refugee camp. Nikki's passion for the field led her to study intensive Arabic in Amman, Jordan as a David L. Boren Fellow, further enriching her skill set and knowledge. She is actively seeking roles in WaSH research, program implementation, and monitoring and evaluation, with a keen interest in sustainability, displaced populations, and the Middle East. Nikki aspires to integrate WaSH with international security to address resource scarcity and enhance water access for vulnerable communities, aiming for a harmonious global approach.
